Warehouse Attendant

Summary
The Warehouse Attendant performs various warehouse and maintenance functions to ensure operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with Warehouse and Project Managers, Yard Crew and Engineering to provide operational support.
- Assists with the delivery of tools, equipment, and/or supplies to/from job sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Provides general organizing and cleaning of the Shop/Yard and Facility.
- Inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensures preventative maintenance, overall maintenance and cleaning of all Path equipment.
- Load and Unload trucks
- Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs
- Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly.
- Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc. on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes.
- Operates various hand and power tools and machines to discharge duties.
- Applies computer programs to track and update jobs and service requests.
- Uses equipment manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to aid in troubleshooting and repairing of tools and equipment.
- Looks into service requests for repairs and maintenance to determine nature of problem and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assists with sourcing and ordering of required parts, supplies, and services.
- Safely operates forklifts, man-lifts, and equipment, adhering to safety standards.
- Ensures that all equipment is in a safe and working condition and utilize the Lock-Out Tag-Out program
- Ensures prompt and regular attendance following a schedule.
- Stocking parts and organizing equipment’s room
- Manual labor expected outdoors in the yard 50% of the time in all weather
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least five (5) year of prior Shop/Warehouse/Facilities experience in the industrial/refining industries
- Knowledge of Warehouse safety regulatory standards
- Be able to apply conflict resolution, problem-solve and troubleshoot common Warehouse issues/activities
- Maintain a valid DOT medical card
- Active and unrestricted Driver’s License
- Able to perform essential functions of duties: extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching, etc. and to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs, as needed.
- Pass a job specific physical without restrictions

- Communication skills: They require oral and written communication skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Be able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, and related electrical/mechanical documents. It is also required for writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Presentation skills: This is necessary to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Interpersonal skills: This is required to clearly communicate with other employees and build relationships with employees, supervisors/managers, customers, as well as outside contractors.
- Knowledge: Maintenance technicians must possess knowledge of electricity and electrical components; computer knowledge, ability to read blueprints and schematics, demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices. Working knowledge of sensors, switches, lasers, dispensers, robotics.
Additional Notes
- Shifts are typically 8 hours per day
- Operations are not always suspended during holidays or emergencies; must be willing to work overtime and on holidays as needed
